Jimmy and Terri Taite opened their family owned and operated business, Gumbo's, on April 15, 2011 in the beautiful downtown area of Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Their unique New Orleans style gumbo, pasta, rice, sandwiches, specialty salads and bread pudding are like none other in the area. Terri got her love of cooking from her Mamaw and most of the recipes are those that have been passed down from generation to generation. The menu is not limited, since many of the dishes can be customized to taste.
Feeding others has long been a passion of Terri's and Jimmy's. Only the highest quality meats and vegetables are used in all of their entrees, "We would never serve something that we wouldn't want to eat and enjoy ourselves".
